This
stately conifer is grown for its gorgeous, fine-textured WEEPING
growth-habit.
Foliage emerges in early spring a gorgeous lime-green, then changes to
a deeper green for summer, then changes again to an incredibly rich
cinnamon color in Fall before foliage drops for winter.
In
very wet soil, the trees will form "knees" (roots which rise above the
surface of the ground). In ordinary garden soil, these "knees" will
NOT surface.
'Cascade Falls' grows quickly to mature at about 20' tall & wide.
Expect 2-3' of growth a year
Plant in sun to light shade. Bald cypress are very versatile - They'll
thrive in ordinary garden soil, in wet soil, or, after their first
year in the garden, in dry soil.
