Grown for its beautiful BRIGHT-RED leaves which have a translucent
texture in sunlight.
Leaves emerge in early Spring and remain red all Summer - Perfect as a
small-growing specimen tree next to the deck or patio.
Leaves turn brilliant yellows and oranges, before dropping for Winter.
'Fireglow'
is a grafted Japanese Maple, thus more expensive to produce than a
"seedling" tree.
In
our area, 'Fireglow' grows slowly to 10-15' tall by 10' wide. Expect
8-10" growth a year.
Plant in a spot which receives a bit of shade from the hottest part of
the afternoon Summer sun.
