Useful as a narrow, upright-growing evergreen shrub for spots in the
garden or at the foundation of your home or deck where you need some
height, but don't want much width.
Also
useful in containers where you wish to keep the plant trimmed in a
formal pyramid-shape and underplanted with ivies and colorful
perennials or bedding plants.
'Steeds' hollies have small shiny dark-green leaves
year-round and black berries in fall and winter.
Plants mature at 5-6' tall by 2-3' wide. May easily maintain at 3-4'
tall by once-a-year pruning anytime between March and August. In
containers, roots are restricted so plants won't reach their mature
size. Expect about 12" growth a year. |
