Grown for its wonderful, textured foliage which it retains year-round
and for its graceful, cascading growth-habit which really makes a
statement when planted in a large container or in a sunny location in
the garden or lawn.
Mike
Dirr says Weeping Alaskan Cedar "has become increasingly popular in
the eastern US - it is beautiful, graceful, elegantly arranged with
pendulous branches and rich green foliage".
In
our area, plants mature at 30' or more by 15' or more. Expect 12" or
more growth a year.
Plant in sun to VERY light shade. When planted in containers, be sure
plants receive at least 3-4 hours of afternoon summer sun. Water
containers a couple times a week so plants never dry out completely.
